The Creative Business Club (The CBC)
The Creative Business Club (The CBC) is an agency for artists and designers in the fashion industry. The core business is to support artists and designers on the entrepreneurial side of art, especially for those who are interested in starting their own label or business. The Creative Business Club organizes projects and initiatives that contribute to the positive development of the artists and designers.
The first fashion initiative of the CBC took place in July 2013. The Creative Business Club organized a fashion pop-up store in collaboration with Witzenhausen Gallery Amsterdam. The purpose of this store was to put Dutch fashion designers in the spotlights. Fashion, styling, photography and art were brought together in this concept. The second edition of the Fashion pop up store by The Creative Business Club will open her doors in the beginning of 2014.
The CBC is founded in 2013 by Ruosha de Vries, to manage and coach designers and artists towards the start of their own label or company. Ruosha studied at the Utrecht School of Arts and graduated in Art Business & Management, Visual Art & Design Management (VADM). As a part of the Utrecht School of Arts, she co-founded an agency named VADM Talent Agency, that links art management students to design, fashion and art industry graduates and helps them to develop entrepreneurship. Ruosha worked for an Amsterdam based Art Consultancy and creative fashion management agency Streeters London, where she gained her art business and fashion knowledge.
